Found in the following products: Cosmetic products like sunscreens, moisturizers, long lasting makeup, and perfumes

Chemical purpose: Nanoparticles hold fragrance and diminish UV exposure.

Potential harmful risks:
Cancer: Titanium dioxide nanoparticles are known to cause chromosomal damage and induce single- and double-stranded DNA breaks.
Lung inflammation and heart problems: Nanoparticles are easily absorbed into the skin and can cause long-term damage and inflammation. The general inflammatory response alters involuntary functions of the cardiovascular system such as heart rate and can cause oxidative stress.
